It features the classic glass lid with wire bail closure, and is embossed with: PRESTO GLASS TOP, WIRE SIDE, and MFD BY OWENS-ILLINOIS GLASS CO—all telling the story of its well-made past.
On the base, you’ll find the distinctive Owens-Illinois Glass Company markings, including their diamond IO logo, a suction mark, and plant code 7 (from Alton, Illinois). The date code isn’t fully clear, but research shows these jars were produced in the 1930s or 1940s depending on the format of the number.
This jar is in remarkably lovely condition for its age—no cracks or chips in the glass. The bail wire has just a touch of minor rust, adding to its antique charm.
