Herend Queen Victoria Flat Cup Saucer Green 734 VBO - Hungary. Herend, known for high end luxury hand-painted porcelain, was founded 1876 in Hungary and remains the world's largest porcelain manufacturer. Herend's porcelain motif of butterflies and peonies won international acclaim at the 1851 Great Exhibition in London. captivated Queen Victoria and was commissioned by the Queen. The pattern became known as the Queen Victoria pattern. The hand-painted teacup and saucer with colorful butterflies, peonies and leaves is very sophisticated; along with the serpentine edge in green and accented in gold/VBO (avec Bord en Or). The teacup holds 6 fl oz. Lovely replacement piece for tea or decorative accent.
Preowned in very good condition with no issues; minor shelf wear. Stamped with Herend crest #734/VBO on underside C1970s. Measures approx: cup 2.25" H, 3.5" D (4.25" with handle); saucer 5.5" Dia.
