Black Knight dinnerware refers to a line of fine china produced in Germany and imported for the American market, primarily during the early to mid-20th century. The brand was known for its high-quality porcelain and intricate, often hand-painted, designs. While the dinnerware was sold under the "Black Knight" name, it was a brand mark rather than a factory. The china was produced by various well-regarded porcelain manufacturers in Selb, Bavaria, Germany, including factories like Hutschenreuther, Rosenthal, and Heinrich and Co. The true makers of many of the patterns are not definitively known. The dinnerware was imported into the United States by the New York-based company, Graham and Zenger, from approximately 1925 to 1941.
