First edition, first printing hardcover copy of Conversion of a Klansman: The Conversion of a Former Ku Klux Klan Terrorist by Thomas A. Tarrants III (Doubleday-Galilee, 1979). Rare religious memoir of a confirmed individual and his turn away from the infamous organization. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Large tear to top edge of back cover, with tape applied to interior side. Liquid damage to top edge of dj. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm though spine is slightly cocked. Small liquid staining to bottom edge of last few pages near gutter. See photos for condition.
