Otomi textile from Tenango Mexico
Size: 17"X13.75"

Fabric:100% natural cotton - Hand embroidered by Otomi indigenous women.
I purchased these at a estate sale in Montrose/River Oaks. They appear to be unused.
Materials: cotton thread, cotton yarn, bright color, gypsy, handmade, boho, yute, jute.
There are 3 total of these placemats. One is of purple birds or roosters and the other is a deer w/fish in the same green thread.

The Otomi are an Indigenous people of Mexico inhabiting the central Mexican Plateau region. The Otomi are an Indigenous people of the Americas who inhabit a discontinuous territory in central Mexico. They are linguistically related to the rest of the Otomanguean-speaking peoples, whose ancestors have occupied the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt for several thousand years.

Happy shopping.
