Premier Course Nationale de Cote du Marchairuz, 27 et 28 Septembre 1958 - Excellent Condition - Official Race Poster, artwork by Hanns W. Witschi
This poster was created to advertise and launch the first race of this series. Most issues of this artwork appear on other races held in 1959, but this is the earliest iteration of this artwork on poster that I've found to date.
Original, large format lithograph printed poster, 18 x 25 in excellent condition.
I actually have two of these posters from the estate of race car driver Mr. W.P. Semon. Both posters carry the tax stamps from when Mr. Semon left the country after the race and had to declare them at customs checkpoint. They have been stored in a poster tube and never folded.
Tax stamp at bottom right corner required at the time of manufacture for export from Switzerland, provides proof of provenance and age.
