Excellent condition vintage 1930 Scammell Landlords' Inn Templeton MA Service Plate.
No chips, scratches, or crazing on the plate.
It is marked on the back with the 1928-1930 Scammell Lamberton Logo and the distributor "Mitchell Woodbury Company, Boston" as well as the Landlord's Inn. This hotel used to be the Templeton Inn and was considered "The most unique hotel organization in the world."
The decal border on the service plate is composed of green, black, and coin gold, while the center-of-the-well design is green, brown, black, and shades of gray. The portraits are not arranged in alphabetical order, but appear to be in a random arrangement.
There are several known examples of this plate that have different arrangement of the men, so there seemed to be no attempt to place a particular portrait at the top.
