1834, The life of colonel James Gardner published in 1834 exclusively for the Sunday school library, of the Episcopal church. Published in New York by R. Waugh and T. Mason.
It features 3 pages of personalization and story’s in first person handwriting, my best guess, is the people over the years. That checked it out of the library. I don’t believe this was a family heirloom and passed down. My guess and it could be 100% incorrect.
What I can say with certainty, is in it is in very poor condition and fragile, that said, it is legible and the title and publishing page are present. The exterior is leather bound and strung together, with twine of some sort, top and bottom are intact. Please view all photos. Glass paneled storage box is included, and keeps the book secure and protected from elements.
