Vintage handmade Spanish terra cotta tile

Handmade Spanish terracotta tile (only one). 11”x5-1/2” it’s called La Esperanza (means hope) El Matador has hope. Numbered on back Tel 26. Made in Spain. Bonares, Huelva is a village and province in Spain. It was given to me by an art professor at a college where we worked in 1990, so I know it has some age. He travelled to Spain every year. Tile is in very good condition with just a few rough edges. There’s a tiny whitish spot bottom right near shoe, but I think that was due to its hand made status. It’s not a chip. Very beautiful piece of art. Spanish artisans center a lot of their work around matadors, this piece has beautiful detail so that even his face is discernible. Terracotta is fragile so I’d say it’s an indoor piece.
