The W. S. George Pottery Company was in East Palestine, Ohio / this china is the Lido Canarytone which is stamped on bottom of plates. Lido is the shape of the mold (Square with Crimped Corners), and Canarytone tone is a rich ivory glaze with yellow tones.
This line of chinaware was produced in the 1930's and early 1940's. Great condition for being 70+ years old.
Couple manufacturers picks and paint spots on the back of plates. Cake platter and some plates have fine line crazing - see up close pics.
This set was in my mothers china cabinet for decades. Non smoking/no pet home.
