This is the Penguins current Alternate style jersey, introduced in the 2021-22 season. It is an inversion of their first Reverse Retro jersey from the 2021 season. It is a callback to a very similar jersey they wore in the 90's during the Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr era. That jersey was popularized when Snoop Dogg wore it in his music video for "Gin and Juice" in 1994.
This modern version features the current Penguins primary logo on the shoulders. It has been worn by Penguins stars like Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang,Evgeni Malkin, Tristan Jarry and more.
