Vintage metal made in Japan cigarette box. The insert is wood. Not sure what the metal is, but the racing horses may be copper plated? It measures 5.25" long, 3.5" wide, and 2" tall. It has 4 footed feet. There is some damage on the backside of the lid. It's very heavy, and pretty dirty. I did nothing to clean this up for fear of ruining it! Please look carefully at my picture of the hallmark. This was made between 1930 and 1960. Maybe you can tell from the hallmark. Looks like a fun piece for someone who tinkers to fix up.
