This is what's left of a medallion.I found pictures in diagrams of Roman armor and horse attack they used during battle and victory parades.Seeing this piece was found by a metal detector on an ancient battlefield. it would appear the reason it was smashed and cracked in half. I can only imagine the poor horse probably didn't make it.If the horse fell I'm going to say the Roman soldier stood little chance of seeing the next day.But to make light of the situation, what do you expect when you invade somebody's country for no reason except for global expansion.Either way this buckle I turn into a medallion is a rather exceptional piece. It tells a wonderful story of the true nature of humans.Sometimes I sit and think that even today the global language of humanity is war and violence.I know there are those among Us who prefer peace like myself, but we can't hide from what's happening.Just like in ancient history, regular citizens had a hard time convincing their politicians.
