This Large Antique Victorian Covered Cheese Dish is a stunning English piece made of crisp white porcelain with gilded detail, featuring a unique flowing waves pattern. Covered Dome: The defining feature, protecting the cheese from drying out, and adding to the decorative aspect. Vent holes to prevent molding. Decorative handle.
In good condition with no chips or cracks, it does have crazing on the plate, as seen in the photos and the Gold hand painted Gilding is faded. The artist mark is still clear and visible on the interior of the cover.
