Pair of Vintage Brass Shelf Brackets with Ornate Mermaid Female Design

This pair of vintage brass shelf brackets have an ornate design depicting a female figure (possibly a mermaid). The brackets measure about 6.25" tall, extend 4.5" long at the top, and are just under 1" at the widest point. There are four round openings on each bracket which can be used to secure them to a shelf surface and to the wall (mounting hardware is not included). These have a nice heft, with a combined weight of just over 1 pound 10 ounces.

These are vintage and show some indications of age/wear, such as some scratches, scuffs, or other surface markings, as well as some minor casting imperfections from manufacturing. The brass displays a charming patina with some areas of discoloration and/or tarnish present. There is some paint residue on the back edge of the brackets from previously being mounted to a wall (not visible when on display).
