I'm pleased to offer this vintage beautifully detailed elderly woman knitting. This character carving was very popular during the 1950's - 1970's as tourist items. Sweden was especially known for this type of carving. I purchased this woman (and many more hand carved people) from an estate sale located in Geneva, IL known for it's large Swedish population. This piece was completely hand carved from one piece of wood.
