This gravy boat looks like it came from an elegantly set dinner table at the Governour's mansion in Colonial Virginia. They were fashionable in the late 17th Century. America caught onto them in the 20th Century. Families today use them at holiday dinners for turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and other gravy-loving foods like pot roast and Swedish meatballs and noodles. And they're useful for many other things!
This serving piece is perfect for coffee cream or milk, melted butter, maple syrup, cranberry sauce, relish, salad dressing...extra pesto or pasta sauce -- even chocolate syrup for fancy sundaes.
