Antique Doll Paper Mache Composition Straw Oriental Japan Asian 7" Estate Sale
This 7" doll is very old and condition is fragile antique. It was purchased on doll collector's estate sale. The head is made of paper mache, lower arms and legs are composition. The cloth body is stuffed with straw. Hand embroidered clothing is seemingly silk but I cannot be sure because of extensive wear to the fabric. Some repairs to the clother are also visible. There is age-related wear and damage to all cloth parts of this doll, including scraps of fabric around shoe area on the feet. Odor free. Because of its delicate confdition this doll is for display purpose only. Cannot be sure of it its age but it seems like very early 1900. Please see all pictures for details.
