It's a day of learning and leisure at the Calico Critters
Country Tree School run by Ernest and Elaine Elephontus.
Although it is still early and officially the school day has
not officially begun, in the classroom, Ernest is
encouraging his young readers to crack their books early
and expand their minds to the world of literature.
Upstairs, Elaine is already conducting a piano lesson with
Eugena, who has mastered the white keys and is
preparing herself to tackle the black keys. Outside,
Edwardia is keeping a watchful eye on the little ones,
who have gone from crawling on and under and around
the desks to playing in the sandbox to riding rodeo and
swinging. It's never too early to learn or to play!
