Up for your consideration is a vintage Italian boy doll dressed in traditional folk costume. He features a straw hat, plaid scarf, orange felt vest, velvet shorts, and carries a woven straw basket. Marked Made in Italy on the bottom of his shoes. The doll has hand-painted facial features and charming old-world style craftsmanship.
Marking: "Made in Italy" (stamped on bottom) and measures approx. 8" tall.
Condition: Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age (see photos for details). There is a push pin on the side of one hand. I'm not sure if the previous owner put this in or if it was made this way. There is some yellowing on the legs, in the front by the shoes. There is also some age age spotting on the legs. Green ribbon fading.
This doll makes a wonderful addition to a world doll collection, Italian folk art display, or vintage décor.
