Pair of vintage Japanese fuchin (scroll weights) carved from rich green marble, each featuring a distinct gold-tone Chinese inscription. One reads 延年益寿 ("prolong life and increase longevity"), the other 福寿双全 ("double blessings of happiness and long life"). These traditional scroll weights are used to keep hanging scrolls (kakejiku) flat during display. Each weight measures approximately 9" long and 1.5" wide.
