This is a beautiful example of a Byzantine era Orthodox cross that I have joined two links from a chain worn by a high religious figure such as a bishop or lower. Usually these chains were in the style of crosses or at crosses cut into them whereas this one the entire link is made to look like a cross. Showing that the links are newer than the actual cross itself only by a few hundred years during the medieval age. It probably existed more towards the crusades then possibly anything else when righteous Christian soldiers went through the Middle East killing for jesus. Sorry folks I don't know any other way to describe the crusades/genocide or you're free to enter your own word of annihilation if you so feel moved. And I apologize for my very sarcastic and dry sense of humor. Still doesn't make it any less truthful though LOL. It also doesn't take away from the incredible work from both pieces that I have turned into a pendant for your enjoyment.I apologize if I hurt feelings.
