This is a RARE 1903 assemblage of a 5 book set, each book containing up to 10 volumns of various early classic works by famous European authors, all having matching animal leather bound covers with gold gilt designed spines & titles.

Published by Walter J. Black, New York, N.Y. in the early 1900s, the scope of stories having been penned much earlier by such noteables european authors as: Rudyard Kipling, Jean Jacques Rousseau, Alphonse Daudet, Theophile Gautier, and Henrik Ibsen. This 5 book set is bound in dark brown reptile leather with the special attribute of being luxury editions.

Books measure 7.5" H x 5.5" W x 1.5" D (approx)

This a quite a rare, large volumn set of famous literary authored stories set within their matched book covers, all uniquely hand crafted by use (of what strongly appears to be) Alligator Leather creating a soft/supple hardcover bound book, an extremely beautiful, rare & special set.
