This is a vintage/antique (likely between 1900-1930) Amish quilt called “Star of Bethlehem” or “Lone Star” pattern. The English and the Amish alike both produced this pattern but you can tell the Amish work by the simple and plain fabrics as well as the absolutely complex and stunning quilting done throughout the entire piece. Please zoom in for more detail. Entirely hand stitched approx 9 stitches per inch. A stitch in time saves 9!
One note - in the first two pictures that is light shining through the quilt, it is not faded.
