"Lace stitches replace color pattern on this classic round yoke sweater," says Galeskas. Hearts are a recurring theme of hers (see this shawl and this baby blanket), and for this sweater, worked traditionally in the round, she renders them in lace on st st instead of garter. The back neck is raised by a series of short rows (fully explained). The double twisted rib and its unusual features (e.g. a tendency to bias depending on how it's worked) are discussed to great effect, giving you plenty of knitting options. The original sweaters were worked in 8 ply New Zealand wool.
