Vintage iridescent purple and green-gold faceted Tom Philabaum studio perfume bottle. Missing it's clear glass stopper. Featuring an exposed purple bubble visible through three faceted windows. The bottle is 5 ½ "(T) x 3 ¼" (W) and signed and dated on the bottom of one side as shown. Appears to have a couple "nics" that someone topped with a crazy glue type substance (pictured). Famed glass artist Tom Philabaum (Born 1947) has been making glass sculptures, installations, and functional pieces, including perfume bottles, since 1971. Renowned for his jewel-toned reptilian pattern paperweights and perfume bottles, Philabaum studied glassblowing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under Harvey Littleton, considered the father of the American Studio Glass Art Movement. After graduating with a master’s degree in Glassblowing, Philabaum built his first glassblowing studio in 1975 in downtown Tucson, Arizona, and opened a gallery in 1982.
