McCoy #157 Green Bell Pepper Cookie Jar (without lid) Background: When I found this beauty it had been painted; by an obvious troglodyte mouth breather; at least two layers of solid flat black latex paint from top to bottom! I went to work. With nothing but elbow grease & Barkeepers Friend® & many hours later it was revealed, that beautiful green glaze I knew had to be there. The sad part is the lids for these cookie jars seem to be a hot item on the black market or something. Search the web & you'll see what I mean. I was going to repurpose as a planter but after what we've been through I'm not risking drilling a hole in it. It would be a frightfully adorable vase for the kitchen I am just running out of space.
Dimensions: 8" high x 4" mouth x approx the same for the footprint. Even if you just need a splash of color in the kitchen it's a beautiful shade of green! Makes a great catch-all as well.
