Heavy TOKKURI Pottery Sake Bottle with blue and green people on a gray background. This is a common Japan Folk-art design used on pottery by Yamanaka & Company's sake bottles. The main blue figure appears to be holding something in both hands. The other two figures in light green appear in tang shirts. The unique narrow neck design and stunning gray glaze make this an interesting piece of art pottery, too. Unsigned. No chips or cracks. This may be from the late 19th to early 20th century. Similar bottle shapes on other sites suggest antique. This people design is not similar to the other bottles.
