This is a vintage, hand-carved teakwood elephant figure that was made in Thailand and is roughly 40+ years old. On the bottom of the base there is a dark, round ink stamp that's unreadable but may indicate the maker, and a gold paper tag that says, "Teak Wood - Made in Thailand". I have been the only owner of this teakwood elephant.
It's in its original condition and does have a few minor scuff marks comparable with its age. There is also a thin line running around the trunk and mouth where it may have been repaired years ago, but it's barely visible. And, on the inside of the right-front leg, one toenail is missing (see photo).
