Vintage Mexican folk art, by Estela Ogazón ~
a vintage wooden child's shoe form, adorned with various Milagros.
Stamped on the sole of the foot “Estela Ogazón Mex.” Although the ‘Ogazón’ stamp part was not firmly impressed.
Milagros are small religious charms, often made of metal, traditionally used in Mexico and other parts of Latin America for healing purposes, as votive offering, or to seek guidance and protection from saints.
Amazing and very interesting vintage piece of Mexican folk art, wooden child size shoe form covered in Milagro brass Ex Voto religious charms.
A Great variety of charms including a heart, animals, eyes, teeth, people praying, and other symbolic images.
Nailed into an antique wood shoe form.
Nice patina on the gold Milagros with surface coloring as expected.
