Dovetails joints are usually only used in high-end woodworking like expensive furniture, not usually clocks. They may be the single most beautiful type of wood joint, featuring interlocking sections that are elegant and dramatic. Dovetails elevate a simple design into a work of art. They're used when a woodworker wants a particularly strong joint or to show off their skills, as is the case with this wonderful clock.

The clock is 15" wide, 1" thick, and is built like custom handmade furniture. I love this clock's beautiful simplicity, which highlights the fabulous grain in the wood. There are no other markings. Requires one AA battery (not included). Excellent pre-owned condition.
