This listing is for two antique ironstone butter pats in the Moss Rose pattern. They have white backgrounds with pink moss roses and three shades of green leaves. On the edges are gold striping. The backs have impressed marks which read, "Opaque /E /China", which stand for The East Trenton Pottery Company of New Jersey. Diameter: 2¾ inches. In good vintage condition; there is fine overall crazing on both; gold is 95% intact on one and 80% on the other. Circa 1890. These can also be used for holding tea bags.
