This listing is for a vintage silver plated butter dish. Dome lid with pineapple pattern crosshatch. Flat rim has engraving "From Fred and Alice Nov. 19th 1889".
Bottom is stamped Meriden B. Company Quad Plate 1972
Obvious wear from use and age. Tarnishing and spotting.
Attached knife holder is slightly bent- knife not included.
Butter dishes are round from this time period because butter was hand churned into ball shapes.
