Beautiful, large piece of art pottery by Rick Stafford, a studio artist in Bainbridge Island, Washington. This large, square platter features a design of dragonflies, fish, and lilypads, on a black background. The technique is called Neriage. This pond motif platter dates to about 2006. His pieces are both food and dishwasher safe, with a smooth surface similar to that of fused glass. This tray measures about 17"x17".
It is signed on one corner of the backside. It is in beautiful shape, no marks or flaws on the front. The back shows a few scuffs, but nothing that would affect its display.
