WW2 Ephemera. Over 200 letters from soldier stationed @ fort Fannin going to war

This is a lot of WW2 letters written by a soldier at Fort Fannin waiting to go to war. These letters started in 1944 and carried on into the middle of 1944. Read this soldier tell mostly his wife but also his kids the grisly details of being homesick, missing his wife, what training is like, talks about the Roosevelt election, furlough, and so much more. The way he describes what's going on is so poetic. I one account he talks about a training accident where another soldier didn't put in enough gun powder during an artillery exercise and it injuried 18 soldiers. He talks a lot about training from gas chamber accounts to Fox Hole digging, all the way to hand to hand combat with bayonets. This lot also comes with an additional 100-plus letters from the same soldier and wife before he signed up for the army.
