A rare relic from the heart of Asbury Park’s bar scene — this pen and matchbook set is from The Annex, a now-closed spot once connected to Brickwall Tavern. The location later became Little Buddy Hideaway, which has also since closed. Both names hold a special place in the memories of Jersey Shore locals and visitors alike.
Included:
• The Annex branded pen – Translucent blue with teal grip and silver-tone accents. Ink-tested (see photo – it still writes!), though full ink level is unknown.
• The Annex branded matchbook – A few matches have been used. Teal design with stylized “A” on front, venue name and city on back. Light wear on edges.
Estimated from around 2013, before The Annex rebranded into Little Buddy Hideaway.
