This platter is a real survivor - it has been around for about 140 years.
Approximately 13 inches by 9 inches. About 1 1/2 inches high.
"Give us this day our daily bread" is inscribed around the edge of the plate.
Symbols of luck and hope, the horseshoe, anchors and olive branches, appear in the design, as does a carpet (perhaps a 'prayer rug'?)
Made for middle class households in the 1880s by Adams & Co.
This piece is in good vintage condition It shows some sign of wear, including a few scratches and a small flake on the edge of one of the handles.
Do not put in microwave or dishwasher.
