The head lifts off (as the lid) with a rectangular connection

Very good condition: No noted cracks or hairlines
One tiny chip inside pour spout, 2 tiny chips on dog head lid inner rim, light kilnware and faint crazing on bottom
With lid measures 8.25" tall x 6.75" wide x 4" deep

This early terrier figural teapot is slightly different from others online that seem bit newer (by Erphila or Japanese export makers): the tail is not connected to the handle; the orange bow is at a jauntier upright angle; the face is more expressive with sensitive looking eyes and more subtle shading
