This is a rare find that my grandfather purchased in 1925. He had it in his library and now it has passed to me from my aunt.
There is just one heavy book end.
Amazing intricate, detailed bronze art on the front from the Art Deco era. The front extends out and is uniquely weighted down in the to hold the books in place, as opposed to the extension in the back.
The back has the word “Knowledge” on it. Some of these they made had the word meditation. Also signed with the year and Bronze Company name.
This is a real treasure for anyone, but especially those who collect items from the Art Deco period.
What a wonderful find for book lovers, too! It would make a special gift.
