This is a RARE gumball machine from the 1950s-1960s. It features a red cast iron body, cap, and stand with a clear glass globe. The cap is stamped with the National Association for Retarded Children's (NARC) motto at the time "RETARDED CHILDREN CAN BE HELPED". The machine is filled with the original colorful gumballs from that era. The gumball machine is mounted on a pedestal with a circular base and a chrome coin slot on the front stamped "THANK YOU" with an acorn. The original brass key to lock the machine is stamped "CHICAGO LOCK CO." "CHICAGO, ILL." "MADE IN U.S.A.". This machine has a nice retro feel and is ideal to be used as a functional, decorative piece to provide a touch of nostalgia.
