Antique 1850s Daguerreotype Photograph of a woman in a Fancy Off The Shoulder Black Dress. Appears to be lace with sequins, but not sure about that.
Shes wearing a pretty white necklace. Her hair is parted in the middle and hanging down with what looks like braids across the top.
The matt is either copper or brass. And is signed at the bottom. On the left I cant make it out, but bottom right says what looks like Grand Union. The signature is raised. Photograph is under glass.
CONDITION . . . The matting is a little loose, but attached. And to the right of the photo is a black mark. Does not effect the photograph of the woman.
I could not get good pictures. So edited the lighting so you could see better detail. Picture is somewhat dark but can see good under light.
Measures 2.5 x 2 inches.
