“Cusenier is a French spirits brand, whose distillery house was founded in Ornans (Doubs) by Eugène Cusenier (1832–1894) under the name of E. Cusenier, Fils aîné et Cie in 1868. It is partially listed as a historical monument and the brand is part of the Pernod Ricard group.”
1868: first distillery installed rue du Rahoudard in Ornans (today rue Eugène-Cusenier)
1871: creation of the Parisian subsidiary, 226 boulevard Voltaire
1874: creation of the Société de la *Grande Distillerie* specialized in the manufacture of kirsch and absinthe
1881: construction of the manufacturing workshop, followed by employer housing in 1882. The remaining buildings were built from 1881 to 1885.
1890: creation of the Buenos Aires branch
1928: the Ornans company has 25 workers
1937: the company is relocated to Dijon
1977: acquisition of Byrrh for the Pernod-Ricard Group
