Antique Figural Shoes Advertising Steel ScissorsGermany * Circa 1900sThese unusual steel scissors were an advertising piece for the Roberts, Johnson & Rand Shoe Co.
The shanks are in the form of two old fashioned shoes with the wording "The Society Shoe" and "Star Brand Shoes Are Better".
Nice details are embossed on both sides and they measure 6" long.The blades are tight with intact points and they cut very well.
The shoe company was in St. Louis, MO but they had the scissors made for them in Germany. They were in business under this name from 1898 to 1911.
