These are very generously sized they're well-padded -- also have very nice huge loops makes it easier to hang them up someplace.... I used to sew a lot, these were carefully packed away, maybe 25 years ago...

Dark enough they don't show every spill -- Good quality cotton , I don't remember what they were padded with... thick & big enough to generally protect a nicely finished table..

Perhaps for the golfer barbecuer --in your family??... check the pictures, I think they're about 7 to 8 in.. square... big enough Loop to hang on lots of things...
