MTX believes that entry-level should mean great performance. To that end, they built the Thunder4000 T4124A 12" subwoofer with a sturdy laminated paper cone and heavy-duty magnet to deliver killin' bass. The treated foam surround offers high resistance to wear and tear from heat and humidity.
The T4124A incorporates MTX's Asymmetrical Linear Drive System (ALDS), which uses an extended vented pole piece to smooth out the cone's linear motion and a flat, progressive spider for improved suspension. Extended cone excursion with greater control means bone-crushing bass! This sub performs flawlessly in almost any sealed, ported, or bandpass enclosure.
