Tested and works, you can smell that distinct clean ion smell that these air ionizers create. I have personally opened this unit and thoroughly cleaned the surface that dust and dirt cling to, as well as the rest of the inside. Unlike many of these units, none of the screw holes are broken or stripped and all of the rubber feet are present.
The unit does show some signs of its age, with scuffs and small cracking of the plastic as I have highlighted in the photos. This is all cosmetic and does not affect its function.
