This amp does not directly sound better because it is "OLD SCHOOL" it SOUNDS BETTER because they use much higher quality parts, tolerances and better HIGH FIDELITY amplifer design. Here is something interesting to compare to:
The majority of newer car amplifer designs would be (in my opinion) laughed out of the home stereo AUDIOPHILE market, because they most likely would not "hold up" in SOUND QUALITY COMPARISIONS to a better designed home amplifier. Why would you buy 2 different amps (other lower performance newer amps ) when you have most likely a better sounding 5 channel amp in one nice package size. Seriously a good thought. 40W RMS x 4 channels at 4 ohms and 60W RMS x 4 channels at 2 ohms, with an additional 120W RMS x 1 channel for a subwoofer at both 4 and 2 ohmsIt has a Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 105dB.
