The diapers have been stored in a pillow case or fresh air since we've had them. Never washed with bleach. The shells still have their elasticity. I will say there was occasion when I washed the diapers with the inserts, but they held up well. I can say we spent around a grand for all of this. Definitely saved money on diapers in general easily.
All of the size 1 inserts are medium.
