Beautiful antique painted milk glass dish with a lid in the shape of a diamond with beautiful opalescence in the glass. Design features scrolls and scallops highlighted in gold and green paint. Based on the material and design, I believe this piece is from the end of the 19th century-early 1910s.
Marked 30 on the body and lid of the box. No other makers marks.
Measures 4.5" l at longest point and 2" h, including the lid.
Minor chipping, discoloration inside the box and paint wear on embellishment, consistent with age and use.
