Delightful oval-shaped medallion frame, in fine gold gilded bronze, Louis XVI style, 50s - 60s, vintage French.
This medallion features a putto offering a bouquet of flowers to an ancient woman.
This delightful neo-classical scene is enhanced by a pretty purple velvet and a pretty frieze of pearls, all inserted in a pretty setting with the decoration of cross ribbons typical of the Style Louis XVI.
Beautiful condition, beautiful patina (velvet slightly marked at the bottom right).
This medallion can be placed on a display, or hung with a tether for this purpose.
